1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Agon ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Agon is a running and racing app that provides GPS run tracking, virtual race competition against past performances, training plan management, and community features including challenges, events, and clubs.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when using the App
  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the App's services
  • Not use the App in any way that could harm other users
  • Be solely responsible for your safety while running — always be aware of your surroundings, traffic, and weather

4. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Agon is not a medical device. Heart rate data, training load calculations, and fitness metrics are provided for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.

Consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. You assume all risks associated with your physical activity while using the App.

5. Data & Content

You retain ownership of all data you create through the App, including your runs, routes, and performance data.

By participating in community features, you grant Agon a non-exclusive license to display your performance data (display name, run statistics) to other participants within those features.

6. Simulated Participants

Agon may populate community features with simulated runner profiles ("simulated participants") so leagues, events, clubs, live races, and related leaderboards remain active while the user base grows. Simulated participants may appear alongside real users, including in rankings, member lists, and friend suggestions, and may display generated performance data.

Simulated participants do not replace your own activity: your runs, scores, and standings are based on your recorded data. Agon may adjust how simulated participants are used over time as more real users join.

7. Accuracy of Data

GPS-based distance, pace, and elevation measurements are estimates and may vary due to signal quality, device capabilities, and environmental conditions. Agon does not guarantee the accuracy of any measurement.

8. Community Guidelines

When using community features, you agree to our Community Guidelines (Settings → Legal).

  • Treat other users with respect
  • Not submit fraudulent or manipulated run data
  • Not use offensive language or imagery
  • Not harass, threaten, or intimidate other users

To report abuse, tap Report on a club post or member profile in the Arena, or email contact@agon-run.com. We reserve the right to remove content and ban users who violate these guidelines.

9. Intellectual Property

The Agon app, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of its owners. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

Agon is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
